Redefining what expert care looks & feels like.

OUR STORY

Founded by psychiatrist Dr Nick Hughes and gastroenterologist Dr Grace Lovett, Carlton Specialists is a multidisciplinary practice with a founding focus on the intersection of mental and physical health.

Throughout their careers, they have observed recurring challenges faced by patients — the fragmentation or “silo-ing” of care, the stress of navigating complex healthcare systems, hyper-specialised practitioners who focus on one condition while overlooking the broader picture, and long wait times for appointments.

“Our mission is to provide a seamless, welcoming experience for patients from all backgrounds, combining clinical excellence with compassion”

Carlton Specialists was founded to help bridge these gaps — demystifying the causes of complex symptoms, delivering innovative treatments, and doing so within a practice where every patient feels genuinely welcome.

Located in the heart of Carlton, our space reflects our philosophy — designed to calm rather than clinicalise, and to reimagine the traditional medical experience as something more intuitive and human-centred.
