Dr Lovett provides non-judgemental, evidence-based care, working collaboratively to ensure each patient receives personalised attention tailored to their specific needs and goals. Dr Lovett completed her medical degree at the University of Melbourne and specialist gastroenterology training at Western Health and Monash Health, gaining Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2021. During her PhD with the University of Melbourne and inflammatory bowel diseases fellowship at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne, Dr Lovett further trained in advanced imaging techniques and the treatment of Crohn’s disease intestinal strictures.
She holds accreditation in intestinal ultrasound from the International Bowel Ultrasound Group (IBUS), having trained in Milan as well as through the Australian Gastrointestinal Network of Intestinal Ultrasound (GENIUS). She currently holds appointments at St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne and Eastern Health.
Dr Hughes had been working in psychiatry for over ten years before opening Carlton Specialists in 2026. He initially trained as a pharmacist before graduating with his medical degree from the University of Melbourne. After completing his general psychiatric training at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, he completed advanced training with the Victorian Institute of Forensic Mental Health and continues to work as a subspecialist forensic psychiatrist in the prison system. He is currently a PhD candidate with the University of Melbourne, with a thesis focused on improving the accuracy of current diagnostic methods for ADHD in prisoners.
As a consultant psychiatrist, Dr Hughes is fully qualified to diagnose and treat ADHD in adults, and has completed over 2,000 ADHD assessments.
